RSG Transactional Risks Europe

Tim Martin is co-CEO of RSG Transactional Risks Europe, a London-based managing general underwriting company dedicated to providing bespoke insurance solutions to the mergers and acquisitions community. Hunter George & Partners, which was later re-branded to RSG Transactional Risks Europe, was formed in September 2013 and commenced underwriting in March 2014. RSG Transactional Risks Europe’s core product is warranty and indemnity insurance and the company is unique amongst its peers both in terms of its core market focus and approach to risk. These unique features enable Hunter George & Partners to create true value and innovative solutions for its clients.

Tim has worked exclusively in the mergers and acquisitions market since November 2004 and over such time has established a strong market reputation and following.

Tim began his underwriting career in November 2004 when he joined AIG as their UK Manager for the mergers and acquisitions group. In February 2008 Tim joined Allied World Assurance Company (Europe) Limited to establish and head the international mergers and acquisitions insurance group.

Prior to his entry into the insurance industry, Tim worked as a corporate mergers and acquisitions solicitor. In September 1996, Tim joined Linklaters, qualifying in September 1998 into their corporate group. Tim focused on both public and private corporate work at Linklaters. In November 2001, Tim joined the London office of Debeviose & Plimpton where he spent the next three years focussing on private equity transactions.

Tim is a graduate of Wadham College, Oxford and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Jurisprudence.
